Dog friendly, great breakfast and CLEAN!!!” Reviewed 3 March 2012
We three (our dog) checked in yesterday afternoon. We have not stayed at this hotel for two years and we think it was even better than our last visit. We drove from Victoria and if you stop at Cowichan and pick up cheese from Hillary’s Cheese and carrot & raisin cookies from the organic bakery, on the way, you will apprciating the fridge and the mini kitchen. We appreciated that one of hte cupboard doors was sealed with a paper tape – that way we knew the dishes would be clean. The whole hotel seemed very clean and well kept. When we arrived the maintenance man was carefully painting the ceiling in the lobby. Everyone was friendly and we had a quiet night after the theatre which is only a 1 – 2 minute drive away. We appreciated that the staff make special effort to clean – even the remote had been sanitized. We appreciated the improvement in the breakfast..this time we also had a selection of fresh fruit and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. The only tiny negative was the coffee…it was a bit washed out (Seattle’s Best)..there are some great organic coffee companies on the island but perhaps they do not service the hotels. A local and stronger coffee would have been appreciated…but THANK YOU..>

We enjoyed our stay. “Great stay” Reviewed 27 February 2012
My wife and I stayed here in February 2012 while attending the Chemainus Theatre Festival. This is a great hotel for a community of this size. The front desk staff were very friendly and caring. We were offered a room upgrade at no extra cost to a suite with a kitchenette. We only took advantage of the fridge for beer and wine, but if we were staying longer would make full use of it. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on in a long time. The staff even found a thinner pillow for me. The complimentary breakfast is very good and well beyond the sticky bun and coffee type offered by many hotels. Eggs, waffles, sausage, bacon, etc. The gym is a little surprise because it is very well-equipped and also offers a pool and hot tub. Well located, just a little out of the “downtown” area, but an easy walk and very short drive. The hotel was quite full the 2 nights that we stayed and yet, we never heard a sound when we were in our room. The rooms were spotlessly clean. Try coupling this with a night at the Chemainus Theatre Festival and dinner at Odika Cafe. You will leave very pleased after both.

Awesome hotel!” Reviewed 19 February 2012
We spent a night here last week. Check in and check out were smooth, staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious, and very clean. We will definitely stay here again.

“Lovely mini-holiday” Reviewed 27 January 2012
It is wonderful when you are pleasantly surprised or a property exceeds your expectations. The room (I mean suite) was quiet, very clean and really pleasant. Nice to have a separate bedroom and sitting area. The amenities were just fine. We didn’t try the pool or hot-tub. The staff were very friendly, helpful and offered good suggestions. Breakfast was just fine.

“Immaculate!” Reviewed 5 January 2012
This hotel not only has superiour customer service but also has the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I believe most rooms have kitchen/cooking facilities. Breakfast in the am was delicious with all food being replenished by onsite employees. Hotel is close to downtown theatre which is a 5 minute walk so leave your car parked for free at the hotel and go enjoy what Chemainus has to offer. “Our Home Away From Home” Reviewed 1 December 2011 We love to go to our home away from home. We have been going for the last six years at least once a year sometimes three times a year. We love the smiling faces and the great service from the time we enter to when we leave. The Inn is so clean, very quiet, all the comforts of home right down to the great buffet breakfast. Never any problems parking just pull up and park. We love also that you can get out for a nice little walk and visit the cute little town and have a nice meal and see a great show. We would recommend this Inn to everyone who wants to have a great get a way. Room Tip: Rooms facing the parking lot are nice and bright. We like the fourth floor

“Luxury in a small town” Reviewed 25 November 2011
Love, love this hotel. I’ve been to many hotels in my life and this was by far the nicest. Plush top of the line beds with comfy downy comforters, excellent fall to sleep pillows, quiet, extremely clean, large, different layouts including my room that had 2 TV’s, a couch, kitchenette plus Queen bed all for around $130. I would highly recommend BW. Chemainus is a little town but if you drive around towards the water you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the quaint Victorian looking houses, beautiful views and awesome restaurants. Enjoy!

“This place is as good as it gets.” Reviewed 16 November 2011
I’m staying here for 3 nights while working at the fire department. The lobby entrance is inviting. The staff are happy and friendly. I stay at hotels well over 200 nights per year and staying in this place is as good as it gets. The parking is got. Easy access to the highway. My room here is a good size. Very clean & comfortable. “Well done Best Western Chemainus Inn”. A Vancouver Island Hotel
